Tint NI – The Journey Back to Where It All Began
Every business has a story, but ours is more than just about cars and glass — it’s about growing up, falling down, and learning how to build again.
Back in 2016, we were just two young people with a dream — 26 years old, full of ideas, but with absolutely no clue about business. We started Tint NI in the most simple way possible: hard work, late nights, and the hope that if we gave it everything, something good would come of it.
And for a while, it did. Tint NI grew faster than we ever imagined. The phones didn’t stop, the bays were always full, and we thought we had it all figured out. But the truth was… we didn’t. We were learning the hard way — about cash flow, bills, suppliers, tax, mistakes, and stress.
In 2018, we moved into our first proper unit at Carnbane Industrial Estate in Newry. It felt like a dream at the time — our own workshop, our own space, a chance to grow even bigger. But it didn’t go to plan.
We made every mistake you could imagine — invested in the wrong things, spent every penny we had, and slowly started to lose everything we’d built. We hit rock bottom.
But the thing about rock bottom is… it’s nice and level to rebuild from.
So we did.
From the ashes of Tint NI came something new — Onyx Styling. It started as a fresh idea, born out of experience and failure, and over time it grew into something stronger than we ever expected.
Now, years later, we’ve found our footing again. We’ve learned, grown, and built a business that’s known across the UK & Ireland. But no matter how far we’ve come, we’ve never forgotten where it all began.
And now — almost ten years later — we’re ready to bring it back.
Tint NI is returning.
Before the end of 2025, our doors will reopen — not just to tint windows, but to close the circle on a journey that started long ago. We’re older now, a bit wiser, and far more grounded. We know what it means to struggle, to rebuild, and to keep going.
This time, Tint NI won’t just be a business — it’ll be a symbol of everything we learned when we had nothing left but belief.
